    Nice collection Greg

I for shure would like to see the swedish made medals, especially the makermarks. Something tells me the are made by Sporrong but i could be wrong, just a hunch that i got when i read about them being swedish made.
    Regards
    Hans N

Don´t throw away your fake WB´s! Get in touch with me.
I collect them for reference purposes for the benefit of the hobby (for the right "fake" price of course).

      Hey Greg--
Some great stuff. I'll keep an eye out for another of the Fedayeen "Darth Vader" helmets. Mine came direct from a vet in the UK. But I do see them from time time.

      Cheers,
      PS

        Iraqi Collection

        Hi Greg,
Very impressive and we are very fortunate to have individuals like yourself serving in the armed forces. Do you every wonder what this stuff will be worth in 50 years?
        Regards,
        Jody

Great collection you have there i collect iraqi as a little diversion from TR. My darth vader helmet also came from a uk vet, strange that maybe the english captured them all!!
Those items must have a lot of meaning to you since you were the vet that liberated them!

@ Peter, please do because I just have had no luck grabbing one. And a "Vader" helmet is what I NEED!

@ Jody , thanks for your kind words, and to me the items I brought home to me are worth too much and will leave my collection after I die .

@ Matt, It does seem like the English got them all , because every time I see one it's from the UK and I get outbid in the final seconds .

@ Hans, I am an idiot.....but you already know that my friend. The medals are Swiss made....please don't kill me I often drink too musch beer while playing with my "war stuff" as the wife calls it . But here is a scan anyway. Maker mark on them reads " Huguenin Swiss Made".

Since Greg brought this stuff back himself I'm glad none of it is battle damaged! Not getting shot at is a GOOD thing! I'm sure Greg would agree!

Yes, I would say that the many days where I was not getting shot at were far more fulfilling then the very few days where I was being shot at .

But there is battle damaged items, but they are not displayed yet. Give me a little more time to find a way to display it so the wife can accept it. I have a few battle damaged helmets and such. For now she is sensitive and most of it has not arrived yet here in Germany. It is packed away in my units storage containers....no worries already cleared by customs of course.

OK I can pull one out she is sleeping. Here is a helmet I picked up in a foxhole outside Sadaam International Airport April 6th 2003. Those foxhole were bombarded with all kinds ofstuff the day before.

Side shot, you can see the chipping that occured more then likely a mixture of the helmet being Gulf War era and shrapnel.

And the reverse shot........when there is a crack that size in a helmet it's just never a good thing that caused it.

Unforuntely they are already bountiful both in Iraq and in the militaria world. I am working on putting some information out in the International Forum very soon showing some fakes against original branch insignia, patches ect....

It's been a while, here is a few new updates to my Iraqi collection.

First up is a nice NCO set-up I have been able to very nearly complete. Ruck sack, y-straps, pistol belt, canteen, mess tin, bandoliers, and uniform. It is a Republican Gaurd Sergeants uniform recently aquired and so far from what I have seen around that is a very tough thing to come by.
