Both are from southern France, lost by their owners in the days following the august 15th 1944 landings.

            Morten,

V Nice lid you have there. I have a FJ Camo helmet picked up in Normandy in 1966 with letter from the finder. I am not a FJ Collector but it would take a lot for me to part with it as it has never had a dealers hands on it. I'd show pics but am otherwise engaged dealing with Her Majesty's enemies.

            Happy New Year

            Mark

While there are many items that would be difficult to part with, my grandfather's battle dress tunic would definately be the last thing to go... He started off in the infantry but ended up in the RCAMC for reasons beyond his control.

Heres my keeper, a K98k, H marked stock with all matching no's, walnut stock by Sauer and Sohn S/147 dated 1937, if it could only talk, I am fairly confident its a Kiwi vet bringback, likely from North Africa.

I would never sell my first WW2 Aussie slouch hat. The puggaree (hatband) is heavily mothed but it's a beauty because it was my first one.

I never sell anything anymore But my Red Beret worn at Arnhem by my Pathfinder Veteran friend Don Turner is my most treasured possesion.

                      Cheers, Ade.

I went for 20 years without really selling anything. I have since decided that everything in my collection is for sale at the right price. I have a long wish list and plan to get some of the items on it .
Of coarse, should I become overly wealthy, I would change my mind and not sell anything, however the chances of that happening are slim

my MOST ... grossdeutschland infantry leutnant tunic that comes with cloth pattern of the Deutsche Kreuz in gold sewn on right breast pocket and Panzervernichtungsarmabzeichen on right arm. All insignia original to the tunic.

Any items that were given to me by friends or family are off limits for sale. I just do not feel right about making a profit off of someones kindness.
