    16 Month Young Collection

just wanted so share the humble collection i have been able to acquire on the last 16 months. i had been interested on nazi militaria ever since i was a boy but did not had the dough for it. thank goodness that has changed. anyways, this is the best i had been able to display it until we have our house completed. i am sharing it with you all since it has been by your assistance that i have been able to avoid many of the pitfalls that i was surely heading to. thanks guys.

I'm glad I see you didnt throw in the towel on collecting. its a mine field out there but when you weed thru your stuff and you know its all good...well, its a great feeling owning history, isnt it. wow, I see an awsome lookin' Luft dagger down at the bottom, boy that looks like a wonderful piece there, I'm sure you must be proud of that one. great stuff! take care. Nice collection, I especially like the award display, looks nice!
(I still have all my medals and badges in a cigar case. When my house is finished i'm going to display it the same way as you have done.)

well guys, the display case came in yesterday, and as promised here is the pic. thanks all for you comments. as glenn said, at one point i was ready to throw in the towel due to mishaps, but after that first reaction, i just could not part from it. it would had been like giving up a child.

Okrach, i might be able to get you a florida lotto ticket. who knows what it would hold for you

Glenn, yes you are right about the dagger. it is a nice one. i bought it from another forum member that got involved with this crazy idea of just buying 1943 dated items. i wonder what happened with that guy do you know anything about his whereabouts?

Sauron, the cases i purchased from indian river. if you wish i could foward you his website address. excellent service and fast delivery. however, i think i have an address of a supplier with almost similar cases out in europe. probably that would work for you better.

Herc, if you ever decide to park that plane out this way, you have a place to land. i moved from illinois some time back due to the cold. what part of the midwest are you in?

I cant devulge His whereabouts but some say on warm starry filled Florida night He can be seen running thru no mans land outfitted in only a pair of authentic Nazi underpants muttering the words '43..'43..'43. Glenn house seems to becomming along nicely, good deal.
