    Best way to display badges?

I have a sizable badge collection that I will wish to display soon. They are currently stored in rikers. I'd like to hang them on a wall in my new war room. What's the best way to do this? Any picture you can post of you collection would be great.

    Hi,
I have many rykers hanging on my wall and they look quite professional. All you really need to do is measure about two inches from the top center of the back of the frame and make a triangle-shaped incision (center point up) with a razor blade. The cut is clean, and the incision is strong enough to hold it firmly against the wall.

Harry, I hand make frames for my collection. They are a time consuming pain in the ass to make but the end result is worth it. I collect mostly cloth items but you can do the same for badges. As a matter of fact, I have some badges hanging on the wall in these frames. PM me if interested and I'll teach you how to make these - if I can do it, anyone can.

Of course, the best way to display badges is exactly how the Germans did it: on uniforms.

These all look very nice guys, thanks. If using a riker or similar, how do you keep medals like an EK2 in place in the riker so it does not slip down? are you using pins thru the ribbon?

The medals can easily be kept in place if you apply enough layers of a felt material over the cotton filler that they come with. The number of layers will of course be determined by the weight of the badges. The picture beloe shows another way of mounting medals along with their cases-cutting proportional areas and placing the box/case within. BTW-I hope the new owner of this grouping doesn't mind me displaying this. The backing is an old wool army blanket.

I just use the small narrow cases. The medals don't tend to slip in the them.I also put cloth material over that white stuff. You can see the material with the picture of the wound badges.
