    Hi Kevin ,

I,m not sure on this , i,ve a strong feeling you should have only 1 of the KvK,s on the bar and not the lower merit medal as well so either a made up bar or an error at the jewellers ?

The 925 mark RK,s are usually stamped on the reverse near the ring at the top i,ve seen some though with it on the bottom arm .

I,ve had some good stuff from German Ebay regarding 1957 awards but i have noticed that in the last 6 months the prices on some items are getting silly .

      Hi Kevin,

You have some nice and interesting items remaining!

I like the 1914EK2/H-BurgX with "57" EK2 Spange and also the EK2/Italo-German medal combo. Is the Italo-German medal pre-45? It's always unusual to see this medal on any bar because of the pre-45 ban.

Re the medal bar with KVK & KVM, it may not be official but it would not be unheard of. I have a 3-place pre-45 ribbon bar with KVK2X/KVM/H-BurgX. The fact that there are two grades of red cross medals probably indicates it is a "padded" veterans bar rather than an attempt at a fake. Note that the medals have been purposely arranged so that the "drop" is the same (ie the lower level of the medals are nicely aligned) - always a good sign imo.

      Regards

Evaluate the item, not the story and not the seller's reputation!

If you PM/contact me without the courtesy of using your first name, please don't be offended if I politely ignore you!

Hi Mike, the Italo-German medal is a post war 57 piece and the ww1 bar with the 57 ek2 spange is strange as the rings for the 2 medals are cut off and the medals sewn back on to the backing.60 plus years of patina built up on the ww1 ek2,i have thought of polishing many times glad i did'nt.
