    KVK display: the beginning

So, I'm waiting for this RK of the KVK, that's not so common to see!

That’s a very well focused collection/display. You have arranged a beautiful case there and I respect your goal-oriented approach. I have to admit that I’m one of those lazy collectors who end up with an accumulation of all sorts of stuff as a result of picking up whatever is interesting and available at the moment. There’s certainly nothing wrong with that approach and it leads to a very colorful and eclectic collection. But I do admire collectors who set out to assemble a certain display or line of awards and then have the discipline to follow that project to fruition. So I too look forward to seeing a future update of the completed project.

      Thanks,

      Z

That's a nice looking collection coming on there.
What type of display case are you using ?

I am trying to figure out the best way for display. Base is simple: I bought a suitable size picture frame in IKEA, got rid of everything except for back board. Then back board was covered in hook and loop fabric. Medal's ribbons have velcro hook part attached to the back of it.
Generally I like the idea, but do far I am not happy with overall appearance. Fabric looks cheap. Most likely i will replace it with proper dark velvet type of cloth. Every item on display will be attached with cable ties fitted trough predrilled holes according to final position of the medals.

As soon as i do nearly complete collection of KVK related stuff I will do that. But for now I am trying to get best arrangements for display.
