      Minesweeper reverse

here's a single shot of the minesweepers' reverse with the name (or unmarked designation). The funny looking (and aptly missing) badges are missing from collection but a space is reserved for them.

let me know if you want specific badges and I'll post them.

              pure minesweeper collection revised

Just picked up this Minensuchflotille cap tally and it looks quite dandy in the now re-arranged and re-decorated collection....if I don't say so myself. Forgive me for refreshing this tired thread.

                  Tony,
Outstanding group of badges. I like the fact that they all seem to be in superb condition.

I have never seen so many!!! Do you have all of the known makers?

                    Best regards

                      MS collection

                      thank you everyone!

In fact they are not all in as great a condition as they seem but most are and some are downright exceptional. And the ÜÜ is denazified. I built up the collection in about 7 months so I took what I could get but I've already upgraded a few and found some maker variants to expand the collection. I only have two maker marks to buy/find. And the rest are unmarked variants which I've also identified and classified. However, in the interim I've gotten "Panzerfiebre" and have only purchased PAB.

Only 4 in the collection are unmarked, and of these only 1 is unattributed. See posting #17 for the reverse shots and you can see the maker names in blue lettering.

                        just added L18

I just picked up from Torsten (aka 'torstenbel') an L/18 minesweeper which is one of 2 makers missing from my minesweeper collection. Considering that only one '26' has ever been seen out there by FrankH, I'm not too confident of ever finding this elusive bird. In any case here's a detailed shot of the L/18 minesweeper. This one differs slightly from others I've seen in that the maker mark is in the center of the plume rather than below it.

                          revised collection reverse shots

here's an updated listing of the reverses of the minesweepers (including purchases 'RS' and '18' and the recently shown on the forum 'L/21' and 'L16'):

Hi Tony, I had not seen this thread before...glad that the L18 fits in so nicely...have you completed your collection as yet? Cheers, Torsten.

                              Very nice collection!

The unmarked Deumer fittings on the back strike me as very similar if not identical to that of a GWL destroyer badge I once owned. I'll have to find my pics.

                                not yet

No not yet. A marked "L/21" is still eluding me and someone posted a marked 'L16' recently.

                                one day, one day.

I also need to tackle the unmarked but that's a total different venture.
