very nice displays- on a mannequin assembled with the kit uniforms unfold their full effect and it´s great looking at the pics.
What always makes me wonder when seeing such great displays is: How do you prevent potential rust or other unwanted reactions from the equipment from seeping/pressing into the uniform and staining it?
And what does the tear of the weight of the equipment do to the old uniform cloth? Is there a trick how to prevent this, as museums display like that, too.

I 'll always making it zo lightweighted as possible, like say mp- pouches, just make them in cardboard, styrofoam,ect... gasmasks i just usev the cannister the mask i"ll keep seperated in a box and number it with a tag,and put one in the cannister ,so with time then you know where it came from,,,

Unifoms, wel on mannequins that actually fit the tunic, there is nearly no stress on the fabric, just make sure belts and straps arent to hard strapped ore attached to it. Yrousers i keep up with old suspenders that i buy on fleamarkets ore secondhandshops.

When i buy ore repaint my mannequins i 'll make that the whole deal is painted ore i use some old t-shirt ore undershirt, you can use use long johns aswel , this helps to prevents from toxic fumes and is softer so less stress on the fabric when on display, because its needles to say some tunics are rare, and expensive
and i wont them to last long time.


as for the room ,regular let fresh air in when weather aloud it,and a dehumifier is a must ,,,

These are some tips that worked quit well so far.

I would also add an air cleaner of sorts to the room.

I really love these Displays, and wish I had the room to do so. Quick question how do you keep the dust and dirt off of them? I know that just from the scale models I display on shelf over the course of a month or two significant dust and dirt covers everything, so what do you do to control this? I remember seeing a black panzer display in which the cloth had turned gray from all the dust and dirt over time. Can't be good from a conservation standpoint.

thanks for the kind words ;-) i'll have been cleaning a bit and a very neat trick is to use a aircompressor to blow the dust of tunic, ofcourse you dont need 10 bar but a gentle airflow is advised, in that way you dont have to undress them ,;-)
