I saw a period photograph in which a German serviceman in Italy had camoflauged his helmet by using some species of marsh grass, or grasses, there fore I attempted to recreate this by purchasing some artificial hobby grass, then age it, and placed it around the helmet at varied spots holding it on with a breadbag strap.

My dioramic portrayal is and will forever be a work in progress, but I am trying to add in as many period details as possible. Thank you for noticing.

Achtung -

This is indeed one of the period photographs I've seen previously as well. In this case, does it not seem to be that the individual is has affixed his natural foliage on to a helmet with chicken wire attatched?
