That is about the best Gebirgsjaeger display I have seen. Fantastic! Mine is only half done. If I may ask, where did you find the rope? Be careful not to trip over the skis! Lol.

Thanks for the comments guys! It was a lot of fun putting it all together.
                    To answer a few questions:
                    - I bought the rope at the local hardware store, so it is not period, but had the look I wanted.
                    - The mannequin is completely home made. I built a frame out of wood, then formed chicken wire over it. This time I added arms out of coat hangers. I made the hands separately using copper wire shaped into fingers and then attached that wire to the ends of the coat hangers.

I wasn't sure how it would all turn out, but it does look better than I had hoped.

Sander - no kidding, these were yours? I bought them off the estand several years ago from someone in California. The poles did not come with them. I found them in an antique store about 1 year ago. I do not know if they are German or period, but they look identical to ones I have seen in Gebirgsjager pictures.

Wilhelm - Yes, the skis stick out much further than I had thought!

Here is a thread on how I make my mannequins. The nice thing about them is that they are cheap and if you ever have to get rid of them for some reason, just tear them down and throw them out.

For my Gebirgsjager mannequin, I spent a bit more time painting the head. It is a cheap $4 Styrofoam head, but I used the instructions posted by NZMark on how to paint heads and it turned out pretty good.

interesting way to display your guys with the mirrors behind very nice
Give a man an opinion and you feed him for a day,
teach a man to use the "search" function on the WAF and you feed him for a lifetime.

Yeah thanks Lenny. We had extra mirrors due to home remodeling, and I thought it work out well to show the gear on their backs. It doesn't work quite as well as I wanted, but does okay for this guy.

Great idea - and I like the mannequins! A lot of work, but the results a certainly worth it.
I admire the Gbjr, but I'm too busy looking at the figure in the 2nd pattern tunic to notice much detail
                              Best Regards!
