Do You know something about glasses with leather, You have there on the last picture? I just got miself, from the photo, same pair in a tin. Marked: Spectacles, tinted, No.3.
          Case, MK II.
          Levers
I thought they were pre WWII civilian. But MK II? Then British army?
          Anyway, they are neat glasses.
          Thanks
          K.

            Thanks Kass
I believe they are WWII British? There is an excellent photo in the 'Kurtz' book on tropical uniforms of a DAK officer during a staff meeting in the desert wearing a pair of this exact same set, so they were certainly used in N.Africa. I also have the tin these came in, but no markings are evident
Thanks for the compliments - very much appreciated.
            Best Regards,
            Mark.

Just to confirm the specs are indeed British.

                          Cheers, Ade.

...and very well made, too. With the peripheral covers they are very effective for anti-glare - but a tad dangerous due to that limitation in vision.
This figure wears the commonly issued Auer rubberized set.
