The Greeks on the 28th October 1940 replied to Italy with a simple NO! "OXI" of the ultimatum made by Mussolini. The Italians did enter Greece but were driven back to Albania and so the Greeks were heading for Rome, that is until Hitler stepped in and saved the embarrassed Benito.

It is to my understanding that y straps weren't very common until 1940/41, but I could be wrong.
