        Snow

        Edwin:

Snow is made of some very fine plastic.....left overs after a technical production phase in a factory that works with plastics......one of my friends is working in this factory.......he is also a collector and joined the "club" ......we have tons of it.... if needed.....how much do you need.......Edwin.

        Regards

if anyones going to make stupid comments on such small details then they must have a better collection than yours shown and I would love to see theirs. Ive seen a few collections this good thru the forum and Im sure there are others in personal homes also but these were graciously loaned out to the public so We/they can see what it actually looked like. most museums cant even come remotely close to this. simply outstanding. I would love to see this in person. you Guys are doing "Joe" public a great favor. Glenn

                Eric,

I think that you must have the highest concentration of top level stuff in FJ collecting in Europe. Never seen a gathering like that before. Simply amazing.

                      Bill board size pictures

                      LS:

I received several PM's on the bill board size pictures in the background.

Main question was how we did this.

First there were severable pictures chosen from several books. The next stage was a contact with a advertising agency. They blow up the pictures and had them printed in black and white in the size we needed. Each picture is made of several parts and glued togethe
r on one piece or several pieces of chipboard.

In a distance the pictures look rather sharp....when you get a closer look you see clearly the printed dots.....The one from the Monte Cassino abbey was chosen because it was already a very vague picture.... This way it really looks like the MC abbey on the hill in a distance.....

The pictures are attached to a frame on the wall.

Just a last warning before you take a run to to contact a advertising company.....this joke was quite expensive......so you're warned....

I must concluded that my previous post about the voluanteers got some how removed, thank for that !!

                        Anyway,very nice displays.
It is very hard to put every thing in to the right time frame. especialy when the stuff is so expenive.
The crew can put every thing in the right time frame, but that would mean putting fakes into place... something that is forbidden with the guys ( if I may say so ).
What I try to say, its a very good display for the onces who are interested but I believe that it also makes sence to the collectors among us !

                          Hello Gents

If someone is interested in this kind of wallpaper let me know. It is part of my profession so maybe i can help. Here is an example i use. It is given a display a lots of character.

Has someone ever seen a Waffen SS sniper manikin display with face veil, either on private collection or museum??

I bet that is a rare set to own
