For headgear i am thinking of an M42 helmet, but i will keep the options open for now. This is my third mannequin, my war room is getting smaller and smaller .

Erwin your Luftwaffe soldiers look good and as Mat asked whats the beard made of?.Im thinking maybe sand was used for them or not?.

When I did it,I used a clear varnish and sand.That makes this effect.

Hi all,

I would like to ask something wich it´s making lost my head..

I have just finished my first mannequin ( i will post here soon), but the problem is that it can´t stand by itself, what do you do in this case??, have any of you this same problem?.

I think i will hold it with a rope in the wall, but in that case i can´t move the mannequi to show the back.

Please help me because i´m becoming crazy.

Hi Acer,

Normally the mannequins come with a plate and long pin that will fit either in the bottom of the foot or behind the ankle ( I believe. ) The one in the foot for me doesn't serve since I refuse to make a hole in the shoe or boot.

The ankle one also can only be used ( at least in my case ) when the trousers don't go inside the boots.

The best method I saw ( don't have it myself ) is the plate with a very tall pin that arrives at the waste of the mannequin with a small horizontal bar where the mannequin leans on.

I am sorry if this doesn't make to much sense thats why I attached some pictures to illustrate my explanation .

My mannequin has the same example as the last one. The problem is that i have high boots and the trousers go inside the boots. Maybe i will need a long pin until the waist to hols the mannequin.

You can also screw a screw with an O head in his neck so you can hook it on a hook which you screw in the wall. I don't know the correct words. But here we use them to keep the outside doors in their place when the are open. The hook is fixed in the wall and the screw in the door.

Then you can use your boots and it won't fall forward

This is,for now,my first and only manikin.The jacket is reassembled with original attributes by infantery and the whole equipment it is consistent as usury and years, everything of the 36.What do you think about it?
