I still collecting TR item Reason... It is getting more challeging and fun! More replica means more fun to research and investigate. It is not just collecting but to search for nothing but the Truth Just like those MAD SCIENTISTs!

Crikey! You were a busy fellow and then just to let it all go.

I've just done the same with a 20 year bayonet collection and I must admit it's been as much fun parting with them as it was finding them in the first place. You meet lots more interesting people and I've not had any regrets although I'm keeping three back purely because I like them and MAYBE to provide a basis should I ever decide to jump in again.

The NEXT day I called my friends and told them everything was for sale.
Tony, I love the all or nothing attitude! I'm thinking about doing the same with the wife and family .

For the record, I kept the lard container as a reminder. That one little Bakelite container resulted in some very nice items heading out the door like below. Again, I apologize for the poor scans of old pics.

I must say, I miss the helmets the most. Fortunately, a few very nice items reside with my best friend Roy. So when I get out west, I am able to see my old friends with my old friend. That is, until this happens to me>>

Tony...that is a very impressive collection to say the least and nicely displayed. How long did it take you to accumulate those items?

I guess nobody gets to be a cowboy forever...I have spoken with guys who have collected since WW2 and have never thought they would sell their "stuff" but then things change, people get old, collectors get burned etc and our prized items get sold. We are only care-takers of the items until the next collector comes along I suppose.
