    My Collections

I think this new forum is a great idea! It's like having a huge online museum, with many different rooms. Here's my stuff!

As most of you know, I have a serious EK Jones. Whenever I need a fix, I lean back in my office chair and face left. That seems to take care of it.

This is what's on top of the shelf below the EKs.

A few years ago I read the memoirs of Grand Admiral Doenitz. As a result, I now have this group.

I'm also very interested in the RAD.

And I like the World War One Honor Crosses and the "Flower Wars" medals.

I kept my cased medals and badges in an antique wooden box until I finally got this glass case a couple of months ago. Everything fit into it perfectly!

    I also have some documents.

And some things that don't seem to fit anywhere else -- doesn't everybody?

There's probably more in the backs of drawers and in the couch cushions, but this is most of it. I'm very glad to share what I have. If anyone would like a closer look at anything, let me know!

Whenever I need a fix I look at your collection too. Your collection keeps me grounded, no matter how many EK's I've bought or think I have.

      Great collection.

Thanks for all of the kind words, gentlemen!

David, I've been collecting now for about eight years. But thirty years ago I had another collection, now mostly gone. Here are some pictures of it.

I think I paid about $130 each for the Golden Party badges. I'm sure the top price for the KM badges was $35. The M-18 Stahlhelm was $15.

I remember that the army officer's dagger was $30. In the case at the upper right are a 25-numbered GAB and a like PAB. I paid $125 each for them.

$45 each for the Police Shako and the Pickelhaube. $30 each for the two visor caps. One of the helmets is a single-decal SS that I got from the son of the U.S. vet who brought it back -- for six dollars!

I only have a few of these items from my first collection left.... I try not to think about it too much!

You even make Ryker mounts look good, George!

It helps a lot when you have nice things to put in them!
