Collection Akira Takiguchi

Paper collections do not take up spaces like uniforms but somehow they grow rather quickly, occupying both walls of the room... We fear of lights, therefore always closed curtains, the room airconditioned to provide 50% humidity...

some time ago it was like this.

I have only a few groups which are "cross-sections", here's one, from a pioneer officer, Hptm. Ehrmann was Chef of Brückenkolonne K, Pz.Pi.Btl.57, 6.Panzer-Division.

Three albums from early WWII period, up to 1941. Hundreds of loose photos in addition to these.

I really hate splitting grouping, even if some part of it are far out of my focus... Therefore more space! A friend of mine only collects negatives (1-generation repronegatives), which is quite space-efficient. Of course if I switch to become a scan-collector it would free all space currently occupied. But the feeling of originals cannot be exchanged for space!

                          Dear Akira,

What is that grenade with flame badge that has an image of St. George on it?

                          Cheers, Frank H.

It must be a British cap badge of some sort...
