    Lorenzo's collection

Well, I would just LUV to have my collection displayed in beautiful showcases. But, as fellow Californians might understand, living 4 miles from the Northridge quake epicenter and 5 miles from the Sylmar quake epicenter....I just can't do that!!

Sooo.........I keep my collections safely tucked away in Ryker display cases or a bank safety box.

When i want to display them...

...I just lay them out on the floor.....

But I usually keep them put away and view them on my website.

That is of great advantage to us, Lorenzo. Your site is a tremendous refence and study tool!

I collect like you do. Variety in makers is even more important to me than sheer quality. I admire people like Jos and Francois for their impeccable stuff, but I also like very humble and worn down IABs just to study the differences in maker´s variations.

And hell, yes, I have to confess that I LOVE good zinc badges just as much as minters!

Yes...Zinkers. If they were good enough for the recipient...then they're good enough for me!!

            Lorenzo,

Thank you for the pictures of your collection. I am in awe!

I notice you keep each badge in a plactic bag inside the case. Do you find any moisture build up?

Hi Tim. No, I haven't noticed any moisture buildup. The bags are the "zip-lock" type and I actually squeeze the air out with my fingers before I seal it, trying to "vacuum-seal" it the best I can. I hope that sealing the badge this way will help to keep air and moisture out. But, I'm open to suggestions.

Many times I have been at your website and wondered what it must be like to have this many badges spread out before you.

                Now I know!

Fantastic collection Lorenzo, and thanks so much for your for creating your website. I use it all the time.

Thanks for the comments, Guys. My original hobby of "collecting" has now turned into a second hobby of taking pictures and maintaining my website. I enjoy doing both.

Greg...you can go to my site by hitting the "WWW" link at the bottom of my posts.

                            great!

I collect LW and Wh and often I take a look to your webside for reference pieces. A big help for us. Thank you very much.
