New member coming through beep beep

    Good morning everyone,
I've just signed up here and thought I would introduce myself and show off a few bits from my collection. I've been collecting since I was 15, but had a couple of years out, and I'm now 19, I'd say I've been collecting 'properly' 2 years out of those 4. My main interests are Photos and Documents from the TR, mainly armoured, SS and Bandenkampf related pics and deathcards, but also have a side passion for German Helmets and Adrian Helmets from WW1 and WW2.

Below are just a couple of things from my collection that I've got pics saved on my computer of, most pics are on my phone so I'll need to get them transferred over (hate using any forum on my phone, stresses me out with my sausage fingers )

Anyway, thank you for having me here and I look forward to sharing more things soon,

    Many thanks and kindest regards
    Harvey

Many thanks mate, I appreciate the kind comments. Once I've got my arse in gear this morning I'll get some more photos of my stuff posted.

Found these below saved on my PC, a photo grouping to NKSiG, VWAiG and DKiG winner Martin Harnack who served in the 4th SS. These were taken at different dates I believe, some in 1940, and others mid/late 1942. His estate was split up and sold off a few years ago

Thank you Yeoman, that is very kind of you. It’s a start isn’t it, still got a few years of collecting I hope! I should have collated all my photos on my PC and posted them when I first started this thread. When I get my arse in gear I’ll post the final few

I’ve already found WAF is an excellent forum for photo collecting especially, so I’ll be sure to keep it close alongside my other regular ones, many thanks for the warm welcome.

                    HGH:
I look forward to seeing your found flags & photos.
For more captured flags & photos see WAF t=632803.
The SS-LAH infantry captured Soviet Red Army flag
photo is one of my favorites, as it shows 2 m-1940
Soviet regimental flags and a Soviet best artillery
unit award flag (crossed cannon center) on far left.
It is not known, by me, if those flags survived WW2.

With thousands of flag photos in my collection,
I've sadly lost track of many of their origins, etc.
Photo showing the 3 captured Soviet standards
is likely from a WW2 period German press release.
My favorite WW2 photo is from a period postcard
showing the U.S. 109th Penna Inf. Rgt flags being
trooped during the Allied Liberation of Paris parade.

(below) My as cited "favorite" WW2 flag photo.
Photo shows regulation WW2 flag parade harness,
color guard with flag OD canvas covers under belts,
campaign streamers on rgt flag, tassels on national.
And great event location view of arch behind them.

A few more bits from my collection that I've found photos of on my phone.
                          1. Deathcard to an LSSAH man killed during the fighting around Dergatschi in the Third Battle of Kharkov with KG Witt.
                          2. A TK Officer with the double TK Collar tab combination, purchased from this forum yesterday. Wears an EK1.
                          3. An M35 ((?)due to it's condition and layers of camo paint it is difficult to tell)) semi-relic barn find from the Narva battlefield. The light green that shows through under the darker green overpaint is called "Mumasaare Green" and has been found on other helmets from a similar area (The former 'Bunkerstrasse', an R&R area in Narva)
                          4. My non-TR side passion, Adrian Helmets.
                          5. The signature of Harald Nugiseks, the Silent Hero, who won his RK during the Narva battles. I also have one from Rudolf Von Ribbentrop, but sadly haven't scanned it yet.
