    My Volkssturm Berlin paper collection

    Good morning

There isn't much paperwork in "my" collection field "out there".

Therefore I enjoy even more every piece of paper, Feldpost, Wehrpass, Soldbuch or photo I can find.

    Peter

I'm having problems with turning the photo ...

    Very interesting !

Very interesting collection of the last days of the Reich!
Young and old, the last resources of the 1000 year Reich.
Really great pieces of history you have there and very well displayed!!

I remember a couple of years ago seeing an original issue of the "Panzebaer", the last Berlin "Newspaper" from the 29th of April 1945.
I have a printed copy of it from 1959.

Best regards and keep it up!

    Dinos

      Panzerbaer (continued)

Here is a Museum Photo of the very last issue.
It was a 4 pages issue.

Many copies are still being sold but 99% are facsimile copies.
Some of the dealers were so shameless that they sold them at 550 $ !!!
(the facsimile print is a very good one on old looking sturdy paper and may fool some novice collectors)

          Hello STG44

          Thanks for adjusting the image

          Hello Dinos

As the Berlin Volkssturm was (evidently ) very much involved in the battle for berlin, that battle and its "paperwork" is another main focus in my collection

And Yes, an Original "der Panzerbär" is part of it

          Cheers
