screwback EK_1 spange on the e-stand

    Hello all,

Anyone have an opinion about this one that just popped up? Screwback spanges are pretty uncommon as is. Are there different makers for these?

That one's a Deumer but yes, a few different makers made them. Off the top of my head, Boerger and Juncker made 1. Patterns, and Deumer, Schickle, Hymmen & Co., maybe Mayer and at least one currently unknown maker made 2. Patterns. I'm probably forgetting one or two. Petz & Lorenz maybe?
    Best regards,

        Hello again,

Ah, Deumer makes sense and that would explain why it came off a Veteran board and has traces of glue on the back.

One last question, a standard disc fits these? I am going to purchase this one but now must find a replacement disc for it.

        Thanks for the help.

On my spange the disk is a normal disk with a court screw, modified , the diameter and the pitch are ok for mine spange... nothing "dance".

Normally that Deumer spange have a clamshell disk, but is important to check ever the diameter and the pitch of disk doing a hand test

I got one without a disc too...
you'll NEVER find a clamshell disc on it's own for sale anywhere!
            regards

Discs came in a variety of thread-sizes. So if you find a disc for sale somewhere (which is next to impossible anyway) it might not fit.

If you really want the disc, your best bet would be to find a damaged 1919 EK1 screwback by Deumer, and appropriate its disc.

How's this for once in a lifetime synchronicity?

No idea if it's the right size but it looks okay to me (I would get some measurements first).

I am too in search of a disc for my L/11 Deumer (but not clamshell).

Are you sure guys that it 's an original disc ? don't look to me.
