    old germanic rune brooch

    Hi,
    Just got this old silver brooch from a colleague.

    Not my field of collection and I have no idea what it is?

    It has the Odal rune on it and runic text in plattdeutch:
    "dat land ob dat wie stoht in heili land"

    Marked with W. Kröger and with silver stamp "800"

    Would it be pre-1933 or ist it a membership badge from a political organization?

            don't know what it is , but that pin/catch set up is very nice,,the lettering looks to be hand cut/carved.. Nice piece..
            Guess you better start researching the maker over at the silver forums..
