this is an object belonging to a captured wehrmacht soldier who got marched into the deep dark never never land of soviet imprisonment imo. prob made it back too, hence this thing appearing. list the places and google earth them...a fantastic route...ever eastwards ... to hell. indeed this is a stunning artifact.treasure it.Comment

Yea i would say the guy made this as POW.I'm collecting anything related to the towns Castricum and Bakkum during WWII.
Also soldbucher from 116pzdiv. And 1944-1945 eastfront pockets, kampfgruppe and Oder front.
