Hello all,
I'd like to say that I don't normally post in this forum as I've pretty much given up on collecting German for my native Polish.
I was on a short vacation last week and had the good fortune of being able to meet up with a very good veteran friend of mine. I was fortunate enough to be able to spend the whole day with him and throughout the course of the day he presented me with a shoe box. I opened it and almost fell over!!! I refused to take it all as a gift and gave him some money which he reluctantly accepted. Even after I had left him he lamented to some acquaintances about how he hated taking my money. At our parting he also mentioned how he had several daggers and helmets that he would send to me in the occasional parcel and again at our next meeting.
The marvelous thing about all of these items is that he personally liberated all of these items himself and he still recalls exactly when and where he got every piece. Needless to say that I am indebted to this man for eternity as he is truly one in a million.
Please feel free to comment. If anyone wants to see pictures of certain pieces then please feel free to ask. I will be posting some of the cloth bits and tinnies in their appropriate forums.
If I have posted this in the wrong forum then please excuse my mistake.
Cheers,
Greg
