Colorizing photos

    Am looking at this all wrong? The officer saluting is clearly wearing an SS
    uniform, belt buckle, and insignia. Why is he wearing a heer stahlhelm?

        Hi I wonder why he couldn't find his helmet or is that just a guess on your part? It seems odd that an officer who had earned a KC, wouldn't be able to find an appropriate helmet. Especially when he's meeting such an important person.

          No the heer eagle on the helmet is original. The photo comes from the deutsche wochenschau and the original black and white can be found on the axis history forum. Its not a mistake on my part I just colour the photos.
