The cross I saw was presented to the German shows by a dealer. I don't remember his name but he is well known there. To Stuttgart , his stand was upstair on right; He has a face that looks like to have been broken. In Illingen , he is downstair, the first on right at the corner.

By your description I think you're speaking about Peter Megele, he's a nice Bavarian chap (with strong Southern German accent). since he knows me, every time I see him he tells some jokes about the Swiss people.

In the past I bought a couple of items... I think he's an honest dealer. I would have bought from him more, but sometimes his items are a bit overpriced.

I don't think he has a website. He only goes to shows, but I have his business card.

I still have a Spanish Cross in Bronze with Swords with mm L 55 on the pin.

I and another member of the forum have seen this marker (Wachtler & Lange,Mittwaida) on a Spanish Cross never before.

What are your opinions?

I have never seen a L55 SC before but probably Jacques has. I can only say that the mark and its position look good and point towards an original item made by Wächtler & Lange. I think you have another gem there. You are a lucky collector. Do you specialize in mint items only?

No Frank, I never saw this MM on a spanish cross, but I do on EK1. I think the cross original I we will be able to attribute other unmarked crosses to this manufacturer.
