    show your Medal Cases!!!!

    Hello

I would like to start this Thread, to see all the different Medal Cases to the matching Awards and to find out a little more about Cases types and use period. We all know the Plastic Cases with Velvet Inlay, found on the earlier Awards and Foam inlay on the later. I guess those were in use around late 60's to 1989. Found in use, in any Organisation like NVA,Feuerwehr,ZV,KG,MdI etc. Before, those awards mostly came in leather cases with different colour velvet inlays (red, white, green, black, blue)
Now I wonder, if for example in the leather case period, the colour of the inlay has to match the grade of the award. Like gold medal with red velvet inlay case, silver medal in white velvet inlay and maybe the bronze medal in a blue velvet inlay case. thats one of the many questions that interests me about the early cases.

same with Cases for high end Awards. the Cases for the higher awards are mostly very different to the "normal" other Cases. I hope, we can see some "not that often seen" Cases here to shed some Light in this not that often discussed but very interesting area.

one Problem I have when buying Awards on ebay, I cannot tell for sure that the Case really belongs to that medal..that annoys me sometimes.

Thats one of the reasons, that i would like to see Cases here, where you really can tell that it is the correct case for the Medal.

I will make a start with a couple of Cases, where I know they are 100% correct to the Medal.

        #2 VERDIENTER AKTIVIST

its a quite small and square shaped Case for the earlier version of the medal. I think later Verdienter Aktivist Medals came in a slightly differnt looking case

Thanks alot for posting your nice Doc and Medal Groups

Question to all: can we for sure say, that the VVO silver Medal cam in a grey Case?? im asking, because i got my bronze VVO also in a grey case but I tend to belive that the bronze should come in a red Case.
But then, what colour has the Case for the gold version

                        Bronze - Red
                        Silver - Gray
                        Gold - Gold
