      Hi Den,

well for me the back looks great, but the front looks a little "strange", it might just be the photo though. If your thinking of buying it I would ask for a clearer pic of the front.

        skip,

Exactly what I thought before I read your comments. The front does not have much details to the eagles head or acorns etc. The back is exactly right for this maker including the catch. Perhaps the front was repainted or something?

I think its ok, just the front seems to have been polished up, possibly even replated. The place were the sling attaches to the rifle on the stock looks kind of "swimmy". It might just be the light though.
            The badge is original IMO

Thank you Skip, but you've got me worried there for a while, but i'm glad you think it's oke, the only thing that looks a bit funny to me is the eagles head,
look at the eye, compare it with other eagle eye jfs badges, don't it look
strange to you ? don't it looks different ?.
              regards. Dennis

                    Hi Den,

Any chance of a close up of the catch, the eagle and the maker mark?

I do not think there are any problems. In the comparisons the badge looks different because of different angles and lighting. Comparison pictures only make sense when at least the angle is the same.
I just think we are not used to see an absolutely mint one with a nice finish. Looks very much like a "chrome" type finsih to me as on AS PABs e.g. Front shiny "chrome", reverse, "matte frosted". It seems JFS used a variety of finishes on their badges over the years as many other makers did.

                              Cheers, Frank
