I procured an abandoned Russian UAZ 469b from the Iraqi army in 2007. I immediately removed the top, laid down the windshield, and tried to disguise it. It served me very well on shooting adventures and going eat. I would have thought prior to this that they would have made junk, but I was heartbroken when I had to leave it. I think about it everytime I see a jeep now and wish I would have tried harder to have tried to send it back to the states.

I am not trying to steal the thread, but here are some pictures of mine. I guess this was the evolution of the Russian military jeep. Also mine was not a b model sorry.

UAZ is not the worst machine produced by the USSR, and can drive well only while the car is new. In order for UAZ to travel well in the future, it needs to be constantly repaired, nuts twisted, transsimsion, ignition system and plugs checked. I don 't think it would be easy to find spare parts for this car in the States.
