    Canister. Jerry can. RP OST.

Hello. Who knows the story of RP OST marked Jerry cans? Tried to do some research in net but not much found. As a matter of fact two informations. One, that it is rare with RP OST marking. Two, about some special Wehrmacht Post Office unit, soon transferred to Waffen SS. Is it possible that such marked canister had been made just for this unit?

One more question here about red stencilled markings on yellow canister (marked with frame) What was it, and what for? Many thanks in advance!

Yes, most probably it is Reichspost. Thank You. What was the reason to make a batch of jery cans just for Reichspost?

Red markings are generally a weight indication.

          Cheers

Thanks for input! Have You got some solid proofs to claim that markings on the canister point to "Reichsprotektorrat Ost"?
