Gas mask canister straps query

I recently bought this gas mask and canister. However, the carrying strap does not appear to an original webbing type, but of a herringbone weave fabric, and with a thin black line off centre. Moreover, there is some apparent home stitching in the vicinity of the buckle.
It certainly looks period, but can anyone comment on whether this is an original strap?

As an aside, I have read that the blue marked parts denote those made with ferrous material which might effect compass bearings.

I say yes to the short strap but no to the long strap. Havent seen one like this before!

First, horrible pictures to make a guess on.

Long strap makes me think of re-used CZ webbing from a breadbag, almost the same buckle.

Thanks for the comments so far, and apologies for the quality of the photos, which I know are not the best; at least in part down to the poor definition of close-ups using the camera on my tablet.
I'll try and get some more using an alternative means.
