Fake frag sleeve

This is not an opinion on the item in question, but rather an observation. I have noticed that items in my collection that have obviously old / dark corrosion, appears like new / bright rust when photographed using a flash. I don't know if that is the case here, but it's something that I keep in mind when looking at photos of items on the net. Flash photography tends to bring out details that aren't obvious otherwise and sometimes makes things appear to be in worse condition than they really are. Sorry if this is off topic.

Steve, while I agree that your point is valid in some cases, this frag sleeve is a repro. It is a combination of the rust, color and the sleeve itself.

Could be Willi, I really have no opinion because I simply don't know. Just wanted to pass on a point that came to mind.

no, I didnt even waist the time to try. sold it as a repro quite some time ago on ebay. ofcourse lost my ass but whatever. wont be buying from Him anymore. Glenn

Some stuff on N&T is untouched and original. The problem is finding those items. For rare stuff, such as a frag sleeve, forget it!

Matt, back to your first question on the "alert" issue. Also not worth the effort in this case.

Speaking of sleeves, a friend of mine found a M24 with a smooth sleeve original to the M24. It was a "one looker" and was obvious they have always been together.
