    Gasplane materials

    Hi gentlemen
I was wondering what were WWII gasplanes made of? I just got a nice early set made with a plane made of paper. Normal oiled (or treated with something else) paper. It has a tag GP 39... So it would suggest 39 manufacture... Certainly not a repro

I've seen them made of paper, sometimes smooth and sometime crinkly, also from thin cloth with a rubberized side, similar to what a windowshade is made from. I think they must have been produced from a wide variety of things.
