98K pouch opinions ?

In my opinion this 98k pouch is fake but I would like to read your opinions. It's marked "Leder Werk Sedina Finkenwalde 1940".

What makes you think it is fake? Looks perfectly fine to me. They made millions of these things so there are loads of survivors out there. i don't think you can make a fake as cheaply as you can buy an original.

yep, fake pouch. The inner dividers are always of different material and on this one the rivets look strange.

The buckle is made of chromed steel with a bad finshing. The leather is very thick compared to an original one. And yes I agree, dividers are always made of different material.

I agree, there are some strange things on these. Mostly the dividers are made out of thick leather, as mentioned, and some rivets don't look good. On another hand, stitching and leather look good from a distance but they might have been sanded a bit to age them a bit. That would chage their cathegory from repro to fake, as there would be intention of deceiving if sold as original.

imo- it is a postwar pouch, marking is established presently.
