Boots - How did I do? Authentication questions

Just wondering if anyone has a any comment on these boots.

They look close, but a little off to me. Maybe two different boots?

    What are they?

I also can't tell if the hobnails are worn-but-correct or straight-up-wrong.

Thanks in advance for your help

      Cool - thanks!

What is it that makes them RAD boots?

I'm trying to get better at classifying them

I try to explain - the foot part is sewn under the leg part, normally its vise versa.
Also the markings stands for Beschaffungsamt (supply depot) Fürth (near Nürnberg), which is known so far to have supplied only the RAD.

Of course they were used also by other branches.

Wow - thanks for such an informative response!

Do you know of any resources that discuss the supply depot numbers?

I guessed something was up by the configuration of the leather.

Unfortunately the seller has asked me to pay by bank transfer after winning these at auction, so I am a bis leery of them now. Asked him to offer a payment method that gives me some more protection... don't want to get burned

              Ahhh, so you bought them!
I was bidding on them as well.
I'm collecting anything related to the towns Castricum and Bakkum during WWII.
Also soldbucher from 116pzdiv. And 1944-1945 eastfront pockets, kampfgruppe and Oder front.

                Rick, it was me indeed.
What was your interest in them? Are they somehow related to either of the towns you collect?

They will be my first original boots! Sorry to have whisked them away from you though - I'll share some better images with you when they come so you can see them better

It is curious, I have two pairs of brown boots, one officer kind and the other EM/NCO. The EM ones are for the RFV (Reich Finance) and I thought the other was for Gendarmerie...but the RF ones are same pattern as regular army while the officer kind is build just like these your boots, with the "leg" part over the "foot", so now I am wondering if they are something different from Gendarmerie... and perhaps they are RAD officer's?: See pics and links:

                    No nothing special.
I didn't put a high bid on it either, as you saw.
