Yep, 2 unissued chin straps stamped LAGO WIEN 1938, complete with both studs. 13 holes. When was the Anschluss?

Yep, a brown, natural leather, equipment strap stamped 2./N. 4. I. 17 holes. Anyone knows to what kind of unit it would belong to? Nachrichten perhaps? It is also Maker stamped Seeger. Offenbach 1936. L35

      Can you see anyhting else?

Well, there are three of those but I don't know what they are for. Perhaps to hang partridges once shot down?

The ones that are interesting are those two with the arrows. 2 very nice unissued straps stamped WILHELM MÜLLER. HAMELN 1938? I don't really know if it says 1938 because the numbers are cut by half, so i can only see the top of them.

Wasn't Hameln the Hamelin of the story about the piper?

I think this lot was a nice catch! I'll try to shoot some detailed pics tomorrow.

So those 2 equipment straps are more interesting for you as the rarer helmet chinstraps, cause of the markings? Why, do you have any connection to Hameln?

And yes, its the town with the fairytale of the piper, a relative wrote a book about that.

nice find ,just the helmets straps are useless for a helmet ,the leather is dry inside ,and if you bent ,it will broke.

                  Hello Patrick, Patrick,

You are putting words in my mouth I haven't said... I meant that the interesting ones, after the chin and the other equipment strap, are those two equipment straps, that round up the lot and not the three that look like a dog collar.

I mentioned Hamelin just because I had never heard any reference about it, just by the story, so it sounded funny to me.

Not to worry about it, I am experienced in dealing with dry leather items. Anyhow, I don't have need of any spare strap for the moment, so will go into my spare parts box

Here are the stamps of the straps I promised. First those on the brown equipment strap.

Now the helmet chin strap, and next the other equipment strap. So they seems nice pre-war set of straps

                          Hello Jim,

No problem, tomorrow with a bit of day light. I don't think they are interestig, really. They look civilian straps, not really dog collars. No stamp to be seen on these.

Thank you. I look forward to taking a closer look. Even If they turn out to be civilian dog collars I might be interested, if you decided to sell them. I have two identity discs for dogs that need period collars. Jim

Here are the pics. I don't really know what they are but if you like them I'm sure we can arrange something.
