Normal CZ breadbag, dated 1934 with lion.



Converted CZ strap part to German spec breadbag strap.

[4th division]

A late war combat belt manufactured with captured British webbing. Note that the webbing used by the Brits was not made in the correct width for the German belts, this belt is narrower.

Imo also captured materials. The main material used in this breadbag is so called Burlap. The leather on the inside is that typical green as used by the Italians.

These Y-straps are made in the Ghetto of Lodz, Poland which the Germans renamed into “Litzmannstadt”. They are made using parts of captured British equipment items. These British equipment items where left in 1940 when the British Expeditionary Force evacuated to the United Kingdom. The Germans sent these for recycling and a lot of work was put in disassembling every British equipment piece and recycling the individual parts into German army equipment. Y-straps, breadbags, A-frames and rucksacks are a few of the items made in Litzmannstadt.

We're both right. They used similar designs. Mine is marked with the famous prewar Czech lion stamp but I also saw them prewar Austrian marked.

Thay are same in cut, just stamp make them czechoslovakian or Austrian.
