Canvas scope box carry strap + ZF4 rubber eye cup

Here's a strap I picked up a few months back to display with my ZF4 sniper scope/box set. Hopefully it is OK originality wise and the correct type? The catches are "clc" marked.

The rubber eye cup I picked up separately along with it's orange filter inside.

Any comments very much appreciated!

The strap does not appear to be originally intended for a late ZF4 fiberboard can, but it obvioulsy gets the job done. It seems to be made a bit earlier in the war (aluminum fittings?)), maybe another optics case??


The rubber eyepiece and especially the sun filter do not look original WWII, from the pics here. Certainly could be wrong though.

Thanks, good to hear that on the strap. I know these straps were used to carry other optics as well (MGZ etc).

Regarding the ZF4 accessories, is there any particular reason you have reservations about their originality? They come from a well respected collector in the US. I would appreciate any further opinions on those if possible?
