A friend of mine who doesn't speak English is interested by this one, could you please help us to determine if it is original or not? Fakes are so well done nowadays...

Hi,

it is original, but hard repaired. One corner was cuted and reapired.

Yes, it is original and has several well done repairs which most likely have been period done.

btw, I doubt these are tropical...... these were already made in 1939 (until 42/43 ??)

Nice one. I have one dated 1838, so I doubt these were tropical as well (as stated by Tom).
