Norwegian Breadbag

Hello Gents,

After posting this Breadbag with bad pictures for review here someone replied that it is an Norwegian pre-war breadbag. As it came cheap I bought it and got some better picture's now hoping to resolve the 'mystery' surrounding this breadbag.
My main question is, is it used by the German army or Axis during world war two, or is it a postwar reworked breadbag?
Some features are pointing in the right direction, but some other are making me doubt it. The leather tabs on the front are very small (see comparrison picture).













I really hope we can resolve this breadbag,

I will ask a Norwegian collector! I might even be interested in it (at a non German price) if it's indeed Norwegian!
PS: have you tried the international section also?

Hi Nick,

Yes I tried the international forum, and tried to PM a Norwegian collector.
If it turns out to be German used I will use it in my (yet to come) book about breadbags.

Well, i do think this is a Norwegian pre war bread bag! It has been reworked by the Germans during ww2. They are super rare, even in Norway.

I took the gamble it was priced 15 euro's including shipping on a Dutch sort of ebay, it was for sale several weeks and no one else took it.
