    Hello to all,
I'd like to thank you all for the excellent information. I've just bought some very nice things, right from the original owner. It are 5 and original aluminium tentpegs and tentpoles. It was all stored in the box, during all the years.

What would be the value of original tentpoles and pegs?

    Greetings from Holland,
    Frank

Here are the other foto's. The box is a normal "non military" box.

Does anyone reconise the 2 strange bags?

I'd say the value of pegs and poles is about $5 each. The all wooden tropical kind bring more, about $15 each.

i would like to revamp this thread. Anybody could post more informations on the swiss pole set? It seems it's an easy flytrap for beginners and they often come with markings. When they were issued anyway?
          thanks

            Hello Gentlemen,
that kind of bags for Zeltbahn accesories were widespread during WWI. They were not so common during WWII and in the german official texts, the bag itself is not even part of the Zeltausrüstung defined in 1932.
            ciao

              JPhilip,

you are correct about the bags they were not so common.

It is almost a myth..... "the German Tent poles bag"

Usually they folded the zelt round the poles and pegs or in an other way.
The bag was also rare in WW2 for the Germans and not very much used in their Rüstung. Not standard....

              Cheers

And what about these swiss sets? were they issued by the Swiss Army and when ? They are widely "powered" with fake markings...where and when?
I would like to know more also about this "fake industry"

I think the Swiss used them for a long time.... Maybe already in WW2, maybe

But what I can remember is that I first seen these Swiss sets for sale at the Weapons and Militairia show in Dortmund 14 years ago. Boxes full of them....

I bought one set then for 5 Deutsche Mark.

And there were no fake markings at that time in these sets

                  Cheers

Swiss tent pole bags exist in gray and splinter material. These were made during WWII and probably afterward as well. I have seen them dated as early as 1939 but have never seen a post-war dated one. Most maker marks and dates seen inside are real Swiss military markings.

That is correct, germanic names and war years dates can confuse the new collector when facing those bags, but there is a mark they often bear that can't been mistaken with a real german WWII marking : the swiss cross in a shield.
                        ciao!
