    Named Wundzettel, Pionier Btl 32

I was wondering what you might tell me about these three different Wundzetteln.

One comes in the original packet of 25 and is the last one left. It allegedly was taken by a US medic during ww2.

The second one comes from Emig Versand and is named to an engineer in Pionier Battalion 32. Since the date of injury lists only the day and clock time, I cannot tell what era it might have been. I see the 32e was later formed into the Panzer pionier Btl in 1941. I can read German, but cannot make out the old style Sutterlin. It is different in style from the one in the packet.

The final tag looks to appear either a cheaply made Luftschutz tag, as the annotations are slightly different, but annotates LS Einheit (Luftschutz unit?) It has the tear strips, but there are some black spots that look like the old style mimeograph copies from

Any help would be appreciated. I will probably sell two of the three, although I am not sure which one would be best to keep with the wounded LF Flak impression that I am putting together. It depends on what information I can glean from the forum.

Starting to answer my own question I guess.. from the WAF there's a post which shows an image of a Wundzettel in a 1939 Sanitatsfibel. I am concluding that the one from the 32e Pionier is early war.

I see the 32d participated in the invasion of Poland from 1-7 Sep 39, participated in the invasion of France and was trapped in the Demjansk pocket 7 Jan -21 Feb 42. They were also part of Army Group North in the summer of 1941 along with the 220th Infantry Regiment (Dr. from the 220th is listed on the back of the tag) It seems most likely that this engineer was wounded during the summer of early fall of 1941 as part of Army Group North. Makes Operation Barbarossa a high likelihood!

I wonder at what point these early war wundzetteln were superseded by the newer ones.

Further investigation leads me to rule out the possibility that this might be a WW1 wundzettel. The block marked Tag, Stunde der Austellung should be filled in with the day and TIME, not the DATE. I'm thinking the forms were always properly filled out. I grew up with the older generation of Germans and NOTHING was done improperly!!

My limited research indicates there was no 32nd Pionier Btl in WW1. There was a 31st and 33rd Pionier Regiment, but no 33rd Regiment or Battalion.

If this is not a fake entry, then it cannot be from the 1st WW, and must be from stocks of remaining WW1 zetteln that were used up int eh early years.

Sooooo....I will eventually post this on the WAF for sale.
