Late War Canteen looks like an early One

Gentlemen,

I just want to show you a new Addition which I actually got out of a private Household. IMO a quite rare Bird. It´s a 1943 Canteen which looks like the 1940´s Models. The Aluminium itself feels a little bit thinner than earlier Ones. Maker is Gerhardi & Co. Lüdenscheid.

I have the same one, with the pig skin strap... nice one

I will have a look tomorrow to see if it is the same maker ( it's a 43 for sure)

Ciao Andy, this is a super nice canteen but it's not a rare bird.
These canteens (43 aloy, pig skin, etc) are quite easy to find, but it's not easy to find in this really nice condition.
