    RFNr. marked Y-Strap and late war black Pressstoff MG pouch

    Gentlemen,

    I just wanted to show you my latest arrivals.

    A lovely mid/late war Y-strap marked with RF-Nummer
    and a stunning late war Pressstoff MG Gunners pouch.
    Both items are in a (in my oppinion) great condition.

    Unfortunately the photos turned out a bit blurry.

            Prestoff pouch

            Hi,
            I have an "empty" MG Gunner's pouch like yours that was discussed a long time back and another member produced details of the maker of the material.
            My pouch has part of the maker's logo - when I get a chance I'll do a search and note down the details.
            I'm still bemused as to why they fitted rivets to the front face when there's nothing for them to hold in place.
            Any ideas out there?

                    Few years ago,

                    I had the same MG pouch.


                    I asked much questions about period area, original item....

                    Since, I sold it but I saw several of them for sale on the net.





                    I don't know again if it's original or no.....

                          Thank you all for your posts so far.

                          Seems like these pouches remain "mysterious" and no one can say (only guess)
                          for sure that they are not war time made.

                          I guess it's each to his own than - certainly not the maxim for our hobby - but since there is no dead solid proof that these pouches were made after war I can sleep well.

                          After almost seven decades since the end of the war, collectors are still finding new informations about items (no matter if it's awards or field gear).
                          Maybe we can unravel this mystery some day?

                          In my oppinion this pouch is a good one.

                          - the stiching is right/perfect
                          - it smells and feels old
                          - riverts are also fine although there is no wooden plate inside
                          - construction is right

                            It seems fairly conclusive from the other posts that these were very late-war produced. The presstoff maker is identified as "Campana" (complete logo shown on the posts below), and the maker "epf" is a known 3 letter code (Karl Böcker, Waldbröhl, Rhld., 1944, WaA195)
