    K98 Bayonet web frog

    Hi everyone,

    what do you think about this salty 98k web bayonet frog ? For me it is a pretty and genuine one, for sure with heavy use, but actuallt perfect for my taste.

      this doesnt seem like a fake. i tend to see these in tip top condition, like someone found a huge stock of them somewhere, so in a way its refreshing to see one thats actually been through 'the mill'. interesting stainage too. looks like a sun-bleached green web to me.

                Indeed a 1st type (1940) pattern olive webbed frog. My favourite kind
                You will find leather or canvas stud backing panels on these.

                    a M 1940 webbed frog?

                    the Tropenseitengewehrtasche was introduced in April 1942.
                    So 1940 no one existed.
