I could as well have gone all the way and use this pair of boots with Wolfgang latest setup!They're a rare pair of LW-issue, LBA(S)stamped and 1939 dated knobelbecher!
As usual, I'd rather let the pictures do the talking...I haven't taken many but should you like to see more go ahead and ask!

you have to hand it to him..another superb pair of boots via the "Manny" collection.
Luftwaffe marked boots at that!
Plenty of mannequins feet that would be very interested in wearing those i can assure you.

Hi all,
I'd like to share with you two pieces of Pioneers' equipments;they surely won't set the Thames on fire,as my dear friend Patrick would say, I nevertheless think they're rather interesting in that they had been found together in Tuscany nearly thirty years ago where they've been surely used and left behind by German Engineers....out of the woodwork then, as many fellow collectors use to say!
The wire-cutter is very interesting in that the very low quality Presstoff case(dated 1944)has been made by "dlu"(Ewald Luneschloss,Solingen),while the wire-cutter(dated 1941)has been made by another Solingen Firm,i.e "gyr"(Hugo Linder,Gasstrasse 54 Solingen)!I suppose that this is one of those "first in,last out"cases,in which left-overs of older supplies are hidden by new arrivals!
The saw is made of the highest quality steel(its teeth are LITERALLY as sharp as razors)and its maker and Waffenamt -stamped,while its sheat,dated 1937 has a "newer" WAA style to it.....it may have been inspected later than 1937 I suppose!

ANOTHER TORSO. When I was in Germany I also bought all the period civilian shirts I could find. It was a common practice later in the war to wear them and was permitted by regulation. I do have issue shirts but the civilian ones were definately cheaper.

Here are some shots of the MG Pouch.I believe its a good one. I bought it 6 years ago at a local military store here in town. At that time there were no references etc to indicate they even existed. But it looked German and for $15 I couldn't pass it up. The seller said they came with a large number of German dewat MGs that were imported into the states in the 70s. Since then I've seen a few pop up.OSTFRONT had a few and a friend in Germany also had one. Some were dated.I compared mine to the ones being sold and they appear to be identical. Any comments appreciated.Jim
