    cleaning kit ?'s

Hi, OK i got an original cleaning kit but i have a couple questions to ask. First how do you use the reciever tool. Second how the heck do you use the metal oiler? i put some gun oil in it and i found out the bottom can push up and the top part can push down? but i don't know how it works. Also on the bottom part it leaks oil from the oiler, so can someone help me out and tell me what's wrong with the thing??

    Thanks

    Dieter,

Not sure if you figured out how to work your oiler and tool yet since your message was posted a long time ago, but here it goes.

The tool you are referring to (guessing without photos) was used to disassemble the magazine floorplate, has a little tip on one end to push in on a button located on one end of the floorplate underneath the rifle. The handle should have a triangular hole in which the Germans attached rope/string like cleaning patches for cleaning the chamber. Apparently they would tie or loop them through the opening.

It sounds like you are working the oiler correctly, push down on the top where the nozzle is and push up on the bottom at the same time. From my experience the oil generally leaks out the bottom due to age of the washers. There should be leather washers on both ends where you unscrew the bottom and the top.

    Hope this helps!
