Text book WW2 German EM boot . the toe plate seems weird but have see them on EM boot in period photo , also there might be a hole went through the left heel and someone try to plug it up( display in mannequin?) the bonus is the big size.

You can show the original period pictures of jackboots with these toe-plates? Thanks!

The front irons are probably postwar additions. That type I have seen on Post war schnurschuhe. The boots however are textbook indeed.

The toe plates are very similiar to Italian toe plates , but also have seen them on civilian boots, so maybe wartime italian toeplates ?

I found the same toeplates in a "kompanieschuster" wich still had all of the stuff and tools in it.

Do you have more pictures from the inside of the boot, the sole construction?

                  Kind Regards,

Text book boots as stated above. From your new pics after toe cap removing, these boots seem not to have worn toe cap ever, just hobnails.
Although frundsbergĀ“s pic is very rare and interesting, these toe caps have been post war applied IMO.
It is possible to restore the boots to their original state adding smome period hobnails into the holes
