    Arent these french Y straps that have been used (and adapted) for the Wehrmacht ?

                  I cant find anything about that strap on the i-net! Are they so rare???

                    Try google images with 'brelage français'.

                    This type was used up until the 1960's, but this example is obviously of pre-war manufacture, re-issued after conversion by the Wehrmacht.

                    Not rare, but scarce. Presumably used in greater numbers om the Western front.
