Ski tie - need opinion

Hello!
Friend ask me about this ski tie. Is that genuine and military item? Or - is that possible that ties are added pre 1945?
Pics are horrible, but I have no other.

Looks like you have a nice set of skis with period 'Kandahar' type cable bindings made by Allgäu...a nice area in Germany with plenty of great skiing and home to many Gebirgsjägers...the GJ Museum is in that area in the town of Sonthofen.

Many makes and models of skis and bindings were used during the war, not only by Gebirgsjägers and Skijägers, but other troops too.
